In August 1993 four 19 year old Dinosaur Jr, Misfits and Velvet Crush-obsessed kids entered a recording studio in Tranås, Sweden. The aim was to record a selection of noisy, distorted pop songs. Out of the recordings came nothing. Fast forward 27 years the studio master tapes were rediscovered and put through a mixing process.
